Photographs of the world's most beautiful women, including Marilyn Monroe, are to go under the hammer at the auction house Christie's.

A black and white portrait of young, naked Kate Moss from the pages of Vogue (estimate: £15,000-£20,000) ...

... Christy Turlington smoking a cigarette (£8,000-£12,000) ...

... and Brazilian beauty Gisele dressed in a Native American headdress (£6,000-£8,000) are expected to spark a bidding war.

This striking image of Angelina Jolie appearing to lick blood from her lips was taken by acclaimed photographer Martin Schoeller in 2003, shortly after she adopted the first of her six children.

David LaChapelle's image of Britney Spears was taken in 1999, when she was aged 17 and newly famous. The picture, which carries an estimate of £15,000-£20,000, was taken in the singer's home town of Kentwood, Louisiana.

A print of Grace Kelly, overlooking Los Angeles, carries an estimated price of £1,500 - £2,000.

This photograph of Farrah Fawcett by Bruce McBroom, taken in 1976, has an estimate tag of £4,000 - £6,000.

The most expensive lot is a portrait of Lisa Fonssagrives-Penn, photographed by her husband, Irving Penn in 1951 and titled Woman In Moroccan Palace, Marrakech. It is expected to fetch up to £220,000.

The photograph sale includes this striking image of Greta Garbo taken by Cecil Beaton. The sale takes place at Christie's in London on November 19 and is expected to realise more than £1 million in total.
